Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted. The list is short on purpose.
The short version
- We collect what an order needs: your email, your name and your country.
- Whop takes the payment. Card numbers never reach us.
- This site runs no advertising cookies, no analytics and no tracking pixels.
- Your purchase library on this site lives in your own browser. We cannot read it.
- Order records are kept as long as tax and dispute rules require, then deleted.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be deleted, at any time, free.
1Who is responsible for your data
Inihao Studio, an independent studio based in the Philippines, is responsible for the personal data described here. We decide what is collected and why, and we answer for it.
Privacy questions and requests go to franz.nate07@gmail.com with Privacy in the subject line.
2What this policy covers
This policy covers this website and everything you buy through it. Whop's handling of your payment is covered by Whop's own privacy notice, and sites we link to have their own.
3What you give us
Only what an order needs:
- Email address — for the receipt, for access to your files, and to answer you if you write to us.
- Name — for the receipt, and to match an order to a person when something goes wrong.
- Country — to apply the right tax treatment and to know which consumer rules apply to your order.
- Your acceptance of our terms — confirmation that you ticked the box at checkout, and which version of the Terms applied.
- Anything you write to us — support emails, refund requests and replies.
We do not ask for a phone number, a postal address, a date of birth or a government ID.
4What is collected automatically
Like any website, ours is served by infrastructure that records requests. When your browser loads a page or file, our hosting providers may record:
- Your IP address.
- The browser and operating system your browser reports.
- The page or file requested, and when.
- The referring page, where your browser sends one.
These logs are used for security, preventing abuse and fixing outages. They are not used to build a profile of you or to market to you.
5What is stored in your browser
The shop works without an account, so some information is kept in your browser's local storage instead of on a server:
| Key | What it holds |
|---|---|
inihao_cart_v1 | The items in your cart. |
inihao_library_v1 | What you bought, when, and your acceptance of the Terms at that checkout. |
inihao_reader_<slug>_page | Which page of a book you had reached. |
inihao_reader_prefs | Your reader settings. |
This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it, including the list of what you own — which is why we say to keep your own copies of the files.
It is strictly functional storage. It is not used for advertising or for tracking you across other sites.
6What we never collect
- Card numbers, security codes or bank credentials. Those go to Whop and its processors.
- Passwords to Notion, Canva, Google or any other account.
- Government identifiers or copies of ID.
- Precise location from your device.
- Data bought from brokers.
7Payments, and Whop's role
Payments are processed by Whop. Whop receives the payment details you enter on its checkout, handles the charge and the receipt, and keeps the transaction record.
Whop shares with us what we need to fulfil and support the order, such as your email, name, the items and the amount. It does not share your card number with us.
If a payment is disputed, the dispute is handled through Whop, and the order details and our correspondence with you may be submitted as evidence. Whop's own privacy notice governs what Whop does with your data.
8Why we use it, and on what basis
- To perform the contract — taking the order, delivering the files, issuing the receipt, answering support and handling refunds.
- Legitimate interests — preventing fraud and abuse, keeping the site secure, and responding to disputes and chargebacks. You can object to these.
- Legal obligation — tax, accounting and consumer-protection duties.
- Consent — only for optional marketing email, which you can withdraw at any time.
9Cookies
This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not use tracking pixels.
Whop's checkout and our hosting providers may set strictly necessary cookies to process a payment and keep the site secure. These are not used to track you across other websites.
10Who we share it with
Only with these kinds of organisations, and only what they need:
- Whop — payments, receipts and dispute handling.
- Hosting providers (Whop and Cloudflare) — serving and protecting the site.
- Our email provider — holding the support inbox and sending replies.
- Accountants and tax authorities — where the law requires the records.
- Professional advisers — where needed to deal with a claim or dispute.
- Courts, regulators or law enforcement — only where legally required.
- A successor business — if the studio is sold or merged, under the same promises made here.
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
11International transfers
We are based in the Philippines and our providers operate in other countries, including the United States, so your data may be processed outside the country you live in. Where the law requires a safeguard for that transfer, we rely on our providers' data-protection terms.
12How long we keep it
- Order and payment records — as long as tax and accounting law requires, and as long as any dispute, chargeback or legal claim about the order remains possible or open.
- Support email — up to 3 years after the conversation ends.
- Hosting logs — kept for the short period set by our hosting providers.
- Marketing list — until you unsubscribe.
- Your browser's storage — until you clear it.
When a retention period ends, the record is deleted or anonymised.
13Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to order records and the support inbox is limited. Card data is never stored on our side.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
14Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct anything wrong.
- Delete it, where we are not required to keep it.
- Restrict or object to how we use it.
- Give you your data in a portable format.
- Stop marketing email at any time.
Philippines. The Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) gives you the rights to be informed, to object, to access, to correct, to erasure or blocking, to data portability, to damages, and to complain to the National Privacy Commission.
European Union and United Kingdom. The GDPR and UK GDPR give you the rights above and the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
California. You have the right to know, delete and correct your data, and to opt out of its sale or sharing — we do neither. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
How to ask. Email franz.nate07@gmail.com with Privacy in the subject line. We may ask you to confirm the email used for the order so we know the request is yours. We answer within 30 days, free of charge.
What we may keep. Records the law requires us to hold, and records needed to deal with a legal claim or an open dispute.
15Marketing email
We only send marketing email if you asked for it. Every one has an unsubscribe link. Receipts, access emails, replies to you, and notices about changes to these policies are not marketing.
16Children
This store is for adults and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Products for children, such as kids' eBooks and classroom printables, are bought by a parent, guardian or teacher.
If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
17Automated decisions
We do not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. Refund decisions are made by a person reading the order.
18Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top changes when we do. The current version is always the one on this page.
19Complaints
Please tell us first; most problems can be fixed quickly. You can also complain to the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines, or to the data-protection authority where you live.
